In 2020, Annette Bergevin and company relocated their tasting room across town to The Showroom on Colville, a market hall that brings together a collection of shops, wine and food.
“This is more than just an opening, this is more than just a tasting room for us,” says owner Annette Bergevin. “This space has been years in the making and our new tasting room is finally a reality.”
Annette was met with a jolting breast cancer diagnosis at the same time she commited to build out the new space. “My world was spinning and I had to juggle work, my health and what seemed, in my mind, a huge undertaking,” she says. But Annette persevered, with huge help from family, friends, team members and peers to get through the journey of conquering cancer, while simultaneously preparing for the opening of this new space.
Just as the tasting room was set to open, the stay-at-home order was implemented due to COVID-19, and Annette knew a delay was imminent. She and her team utilized the delay to their benefit, getting the outdoor patio space ready and incorporating additional special touches inside. Ultimately, the classy tasting room opened to the public in June 2020.
“Without my wife, Kristy, and my daughter, Jaden, I’m not sure I would have survived any of this. They are the reason I get up every morning,” says Annette. “And if you are reading this, you are one of the reasons why I can’t wait to get to work. Wine brings us all together and the word wine to me conjures up feelings of fun, love, laughter, adventure, tears, family, friends and great conversation!”
The wines from this veteran producer always impart authenticity and style, and every one of these recent releases are wow-wines.
