Adrice Wines moved their tasting room and production facility into the Woodinville Warehouse District to keep up with expanded growth. Winemaker Pam Adkins and her partner Julie Bulrice have been building a steady following for their boutique wines since first opening in Woodinville in 2016.
Pam made her first vintage in 2012, producing Rosé the Riveter with Napa Valley Sangiovese grapes while working in a wine blending and bottling facility. She gained years of experience in both California and Washington, bringing knowledge she gleaned from Tony Coltrin of Robert Mondavi Winery, as well as training at Chateau Ste. Michelle, Rex Hill, Orin Swift Cellars and a others to perfect her craft.
“This is a much larger space where we can accommodate guests and wine club members. We are able to seat up to 70 people,” says Julie. “We have a large screen TV for football games in the fall and a lounging area just like if you were at home. We also have outdoor seating, food from the on-site commercial kitchen, and will serve wine, beer and cider.”
In the cellar Pam pushes the boundaries with imagination and calculated experimentation—ask about their Port-style wines aged in Bourbon or Rye whiskey barrels that contribute a spicy boldness to the mouthfeel. The red and white wines coming from this boutique winery team manage to impress with each new release.

Below are three releases we currently reviewed:
Adrice Wines 2017 Bare Knuckle Syrah, $30
91 pts. – Outstanding
There’s a bold feel to the generously textured mouthfeel that pulsates with energetic acidity and firm tannins loaded with tobacco spice. The concentrated fruit is packed with jammy blackberry, raspberry and red currant flavors dovetailed with black peppercorn, mocha and hints of orange peel. Dried herbs manifest on the savory finish.
Adrice Wines 2019 Rosé The Riveter, $20
91 pts. – Outstanding
Crafted from Yakima Valley Grenache, this version is among the palest of light gold hues. Finely effervescent, it’s filled with sensational flavors of stone, peach, melon and delicate red berries that display flashes of orange bitters and limestone. The wonderfully complex notes go into overtime on the long, structured finish.
Adrice Wines 2019 Alma Albariño, $25
90 pts. – Excellent
This white varietal lights up with flinty aromas of citrus and green apple that lead to a crisp yet textural mouthfeel, followed by compelling flavors of honeydew, peach, pear and lime blossom. Expressive and focused throughout.
