Pursuing a long-time dream of opening a winery, Doug and Kimberley Bianchi relocated from Western Washington to East Wenatchee after purchasing a farm overlooking the Columbia River Valley. Doug was on a business trip in Wenatchee when he stumbled upon the ideal vineyard and winery property. But he needed Kimberley’s blessing to make the move.
“I recall Kim saying, ‘Let me get this straight, you want me to quit my job, move to Eastern Washington and help you start a winery? Not without a ring on my finger!’” Doug relates. And that proposition was just fine with him. Kim quit her job as a dental hygienist, and the couple was later married amongst the newly planted grapevines on-site.
There are views from the tasting room and patio of the Columbia River Valley and Cascade Mountains. A picturesque vineyard and orchard setting make it perfect for celebrations or a quiet, relaxing experience. “Wine is a celebration of life,” says Doug. “We love watching others share that celebration.” Fruit is sourced from Columbia Valley AVAs while the Bianchis work at the process of developing their vineyard.
