Sandor and Sabrina Faludi have been part of the fabric of Woodinville’s warehouse winery district since opening officially in 2019. The husband and wife team turn out small-lot, carefully crafted wines served at the tasting room with hospitable flair. Sandor’s winemaking talent and inspiration come from his grandfather, who was a winemaker with a small vineyard in Hungary where Sandor was born and raised.

Robust and powerfully built, this hedonistic red delivers deeply concentrated black currant and briary blackberry flavors backed with subtle notes of red berry. Cigar box, mocha and warm stone details mingle with fine tannins and natural acidity on the long finish. Decant well. $60

Prohibition Cellars 2020 Les Collines Vineyard Malbec

Ultra-creamy with a minerally-driven structure, highlighted by savory notes of coffee bean, eucalyptus, cedar and fresh-dug earth, wrapped around a deeper core of red plum, blueberry and black fruit. Plush tannins are stitched with bold pepper spice and hints of orange peel on the fluid finish. $50
Prohibition Cellars 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve

A blockbuster, yielding svelte tannins and chiseled structure bound together with dense flavors of blackberry, dark cherry, cocoa and violet notes. This is an elegant version filled with graceful balance and keen focus. Spice notes chime in on the long, coaxing finish. (Not yet released.)
