The Washington Wine Industry Foundation (WWIF) will host its 14th annual Wine Cup Golf Tournament on Monday, July 14 2014, to raise funds for support of the industry.
Wine industry supporters, golf fanatics, wine connoisseurs, and anyone who just wants to have fun are invited to join WWIF at Meadow Springs Country Club in Richland. The tournament will kick off with registration at 8am and a shotgun start at 9am.
During the day, golfers will enjoy 18 holes on one of the Washington state’s top-rated courses. On top of the 18-hole tournament will be a variety of contests including putting, closest to the pin, and the infamous cork chipping. Following the contests will be a wine reception, awards lunch, and awarding of prizes, including a 5-day cruise for each member of the Low Gross winning team.
Last year the Foundation raised over $40,000. This year, the Foundation is looking to beat that record.
Only 144 player spots are available and over half are already taken. Team and individual registrations are available. Register prior to June 14, to take advantage of early bird rates at $225 a person or $850 for a team of four. Each golfer will receive a Nike logo golf shirt and a shot at multiple valuable prizes.
Other opportunities to get involved with Wine Cup® include sponsorships and prize donations. To register a team, sponsor or donate prizes visit www.washingtonwinefoundation.org or contact info@washingtonwinefoundation.org or 509-782-1108.
