Did you know that Riesling is the #1 grape varietal grown in Washington State? With over 31,700 tonnage grown last year, Riesling accounts for 22.4% of the total grape varietals grown in Washington State. On Sunday, July 14, 2013, the 4th Annual Riesling Rendezvous Grand Tasting is your exclusive and rare opportunity to taste Rieslings from around the world as winemakers converge for this annual Grand Tasting event.
Held on the picturesque grounds of Chateau Ste. Michelle in Woodinville, more than 70 wineries from Australia, Austria, Canada, Germany, New Zealand, Slovakia, California, Idaho, Michigan, Oregon, New York, New Jersey and Washington will showcase the great diversity of Riesling from their regions from 4-8pm. An extra bonus: many winemakers bring a “surprise wine” from their estates to share as well.
Guests will also get to savor an array of Riesling friendly food from top Seattle food trucks along with appetizers prepared by Chateau Ste. Michelle’s Culinary Director John Sarich and culinary staff. The event will also feature live music.
To purchase tickets, visit the Reisling Rendezvous website. Tickets are $75 General Admission from 5-8 pm, and $100 VIP & Trade limited availability tickets from 4-8 pm. Attendance is limited to ages 21 and older.
