Mark your calendar for Saturday, August 31, 2013, when Swiftwater Cellars’ amphitheater will become the stage for the 6th annual Wine in the Pines, a celebration of Washington wine, food, live jazz music and breathtaking views. The one-day festival runs from 2pm-5pm and will feature over 20 different Washington wineries, as well as breweries, distilleries and food vendors.
“Wine in the Pines is all about sharing an afternoon with people who enjoy wine and food, in a casual and relaxed setting,” said Swiftwater Cellars winemaker Linda Trotta. “As a winemaker, I appreciate the opportunity to spend quality time with consumers. Every year I am impressed by the caliber of wineries and restaurants that choose to participate.”
Tickets are $70 which includes all food and drink samples, and available at TicketsWest.com or at Swiftwater Cellars “Boutique.” Guests are invited to linger in the outdoor amphitheater and enjoy the sweeping views of the Cascade foothills and rolling golf course greens.
Swiftwater Cellars sits on the Cascade Mountains along Interstate 90, a 90-minute drive from downtown Seattle. The winery places a unique dual focus on Bordeaux style varietals grown in Washington State and Pinot Noir from Oregon. The fruit is sourced from some of the Pacific Northwest’s most celebrated AVA’s.
