The devastating Kincade wildfire in Northern California has been front and center in the national news, and sparked the largest evacuation in Sonoma County history. For wineries in this region, the latest fire marks the third consecutive season of massive, destructive wildfires in the wine country.
As Western Washington firefighters head to California to help with wildfires, Tinte Cellars winery in Woodinville wanted to help raise funds to support local wineries and those impacted by the fires in the Sonoma wine region.
“As we watch the fires and destruction in California, we feel compelled to launch a giving campaign in support of our fellow wineries, businesses and families in the Sonoma area,” said Tinte Cellars co-owner Teresa Spellman Gamble. “At our core, Tinte Cellars produces great wine for the greater good. It is an honor to be able to amplify our giving efforts by rallying the Woodinville wine community to join us.”
Launched by Tinte Cellars, Grape Relief is the Woodinville winery community campaign to support California’s Kincade Fire Emergency Relief & Recovery.
From November 1–10, 2019, Tinte Cellars will donate 5% of all wine sales to the United Way of the Wine Country’s fund to support the Kincade Fire relief efforts. In addition, from November 7-10, a number of other Woodinville wineries shall be participating in this special fundraiser.
How You Can Help
You can join the cause by raising a glass for Grape Relief. Tinte Cellars has jumpstarted this fundraising drive by donating $500. You can help support Grape Relief by purchasing and tasting wine at Tinte Cellars during the first ten days of November.

About Tinte Cellars
In June of 2018, co-owners and husband and wife team, Tim Gamble and Teresa Spellman Gamble, purchased Woodinville’s William Church and Cuillin Hills wineries creating the umbrella brand, Tinte Cellars. Community, volunteerism, and philanthropy formed the foundation of Tim and Teresa’s upbringings; their culture. When they established Tinte Cellars, the business needed to reflect those values and their desire to leave the world better than they found it. Tinte Cellars donates a significant portion of their sales (right off the top) each year to support local non-profit organizations, such as Child Mind Institute; Northwest Harvest, Mary’s Place and Arts Fund. In addition, Tinte invests in a wide range of programs and activities to enable their customers, employees, and partners to amplify their own positive impact on the world. In June of 2019, Tinte marked their one-year anniversary of their philanthropic commitment bringing the total of cash and in-kind donations to local non-profits to more than $150,000.00. The winery celebrated this milestone by unveiling their first two wines under the Tinte Cellars label: a Viognier and a Sauvignon Blanc.
