The wineries at Winemakers Loft in Prosser announces that the Pre-Barrel Bash scheduled for April 18, 2020 will now be moved to a “virtual platform” (on the same day) in order to be compliant with all health and safety precautions amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Titled the “Winemakers Loft Food Truck Rally” in prior years, the 2020 Pre-Barrel Bash aimed to showcase premium wine production, live music and fresh, and local and regional food truck fare. Because of COVID-19 health concerns, the Pre-Barrel Bash has transitioned to an online wine event. Attendees may access the online event via a Zoom conferencing link that will be provided upon registering for the event at HeartlinksHospice.org.
Free of charge to attend from the comforts of one’s own home, the 120-minute online event will include a virtual stroll through WA wine country and storytelling by Coyote Canyon Winery, Martinez & Martinez Wines, McKinley Springs Winery, and Ginkgo Forest Winery. The event is a a benefit for Heartlinks Hospice & Palliative Care.
“The virtual edition of the Pre-Barrel Bash presented by the Winemakers Loft represents the collective attitude toward continuing to promote the excellence of the Washington wine industry, as well as benefiting the necessary services that Heartlinks Hospice & Palliative Care provides 365 days a year. All four wineries housed in the Winemakers Loft are growers/producers who support each other as well as Heartlinks Hospice,” says Kari Saccomanno, manager of the Winemakers Loft winery and tasting room collective.
The virtual edition is on Saturday, April 18 from 3pm–5pm. Donations made to Heartlinks Hospice & Palliative Care during the virtual event on Saturday, April 18, 2020 will be matched up to $5,000 by Custom Bottling & Filtering, allowing for up to $10,000 to be raised on behalf of Heartlinks in two short hours.
