“Washington grapes are some of the finest I have worked with and the state’s wines are leaving their mark at international competitions,” said Richard Batchelor, winemaker at Maryhill. “We work hard to showcase the diversity and quality available in Washington and are proud that our wines – and Washington wines in general – have earned widespread recognition this past year.”
The Vineyards series added ten new wine options to Maryhill’s already impressive portfolio of blends and single varietals in 2013, with 15 additional varietals never before made at Maryhill to be produced in 2014. Each new wine pays tribute to the area’s top vineyards, and the new series helped push Maryhill past the 2,000 award-win milestone.
“Last year was exceptional for our wines and we are incredibly honored to receive recognition of this magnitude,” concludes Craig Leuthold, owner of Maryhill Winery. “Stay tuned. There is more to come.”
