Yakima, Wash. — March 2018 — Are you seeking to enjoy Yakima Valley’s Spring Barrel Tasting festivities without the crowds? Yakima Valley’s newest event offers an intimate tasting at eight different wineries, where winemakers will open their tastings rooms exclusively to Winemaker’s Table ticket holders to experience an exclusive vertical tasting of library wines, current vintages, and barrel samples during Spring Barrel Tasting, April 28-29, 2018. Guests will learn the history, nuances, and stories of each wine in an intimate seated tasting.
Winemaker’s Table Seating times:
Saturday April 28, 2018: Hourly between 11:00am – 4:00pm
Sunday April 29, 2018: Hourly between 11:00am – 4:00pm

A sample of what participating wineries are offering:
Co Dinn Cellars – Winemaker and owner Co Dinn will feature a vertical of the Lonesome Spring Ranch GSM 2014-2017 including 2017 barrel samples.
Côte Bonneville Winery – Winemaker Kerry Shiels will be showcasing Côte Bonneville Syrah. The vertical tasting includes barrel sample, a current release and a bottle from the Côte Bonneville wine library.
Gilbert Cellars/JB Neufeld Winery – 2015 Old Goat. JB Neufeld’s ‘Reserve’ Cabernet Sauvignon aged in 100% new oak for 31 months and bottle aged for 15 months. The 2014 will be released in the fall this year, the 2015 will be released fall of 2019, so you’ll be getting a sneak on those wines. Guests will have the option to buy the 2014 Old Goat during the weekend.

Wit Cellars – Head Winemaker Flint Nelson and winemaker Cat Warwick will lead you through a vertical tasting of Wit Cellars Cab Franc. 2017, 2016, 2015 Cab Franc from Olsen Brothers Vineyard. Taste two of Wit Cellars newest vintages of Cab Franc from Olsen Brothers Vineyard out of the barrel. The 2015 vintage will be newly released and sampled.
Yakima Valley Vintners – Student winemakers and staff will guide you through a vertical tasting of the Yakima Valley Vintners Primitivo. This Italian grape has given student winemakers the opportunity to hand-craft this wine into the program’s most awarded varietal over the past ten years. The tasting will start with library tastings from past vintages and travel through time to a barrel taste of the 2016 edition and end with a preview of the latest Dean’s List Reserve Primitivo along with an exclusive opportunity to purchase this yet-to-be-released 2015 vintage.
J. Bell Cellars – Winemaker Wes Teslo will be showcasing J. Bell Cellars Sunridge Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. Vertical tasting will include two library vintages, current release, and a barrel sample. This tasting experience will be held at J. Bell Cellars production facility located at 260 Bonair rd Zillah WA 98953.
Wildridge Winery – Winemaker Paul Beveridge will showcase some of his finest wines. Wines list to be determined.
