Woodinville, Wash. — August 5, 2015 — Eye of the Needle Winery kicks off its annual Bottles for Bread Campaign on Saturday, August 8, 2015 (from 1-7pm), welcoming wine enthusiasts, sports fans and the entire community to an afternoon of wine tasting, chocolate pairing, food and free music entertainment by the Grand Cru Band. The festivities and official release of its “12th Blend” is underscored with a give-back program to fight hunger through donations to Northwest Harvest and other food banks.
For every bottle of “12th Blend” sold, two meals will be donated to Northwest Harvest, a hunger relief agency that aims to provide ample nutritious food to everyone in Washington State. Last year, in support of this mission, the first Bottles for Bread Campaign donated over 100,000 meals.
“The name 12th Blend signifies the fan and supporter in all of us and for us personally, it is about uniting our passion for wine, having a good time and giving back to the community,” says Bob and Lauren Bullock, owners of Eye of the Needle Winery. “This transpired into our Bottles for Bread campaign that started last year. This year, we hope to reach the new goal of donating 175,000 meals to Northwest Harvest-and enjoy some great wine at the same time!”
