Seattle, Wash. — April 4, 2018 — Anthony’s Restaurants hosted Washington State University in the third annual Blended Learning Release Party at Budd’s Broiler on March 28, 2018 and assisted in raising over $18,000 for the University’s Viticulture and Enology Program.
Every year, Budd’s Broiler closes its doors and donates all of their service, food and use of the restaurant to host the attendees of this Release Party so that all ticket proceeds go directly to the WSU Viticulture and Enology Program. The event kicked off with a cocktail reception at 5:30pm where the 110 people in attendance were able to taste through the recent vintages of wine and nibble on appetizers that were prepared by Anthony’s. A four-course dinner followed the reception. Tickets were $125 per person.
“Thanks to Anthony’s Restaurants, the WSU Spring Release Party gives us a platform to showcase the WSU Blended
Learning wines and celebrate the success of the Viticulture and Enology program while raising money to support our
research and teaching programs,” says Dr. Thomas Henick-Kling, director of the Washington State University Viticulture and Enology Program.
The recent releases of the wines that were presented were:
2017 Dry Rose
Winery Partner: Ancient Lake Wine Company

About Anthony’s Restaurants:
Anthony’s Restaurants owns and operates a family of privately-held restaurants in locations throughout the Pacific Northwest. From classic ‘to-go’ eateries to casual dining and relaxed dinner houses, Anthony’s core commitment to fresh Northwest seafood and meat, complemented by local produce, Northwest wines and microbrews, is the foundation for each restaurant. To ensure Anthony’s commitment to purchasing only the highest quality fresh seafood, Anthony’s opened its own seafood company in 1984, located at Pier 91, Seattle. In their continued efforts to elevate the expectation for high-quality seafood for consumers, Anthony’s recently launched an online retail shop where people can purchase the same seafood that is prepared in the restaurants to be delivered directly to their door to be prepared at home (shop.anthonys.com).
