Seattle, WA — (January 28, 2014) — Anthony’s Restaurants proudly announces that they have has been awarded The Best Event Featuring Washington Wine for the Raise a Glass Fund a Scholarship Promotion at the 2014 Washington State Wine Awards, a recognition program of the Washington Wine Commission.
Anthony’s Restaurants has always been dedicated to fresh, local flavor in the food as well as the wine lists. The wine lists have always kept its local, Washington focus while rotating its selection to pair with seasonal ingredients. Anthony’s also continues to maintain a close relationship with the Washington wine community to help educate and raise awareness of Washington wine to all of its guests.

General Manager Bob Nelson of Pier 66, who accepted the award on behalf of Anthony’s, helps to maintain this philosophy by providing continuous wine education classes for his staff. All team members are provided with initial wine training, table service etiquette and proper food pairing education.
Since the inception of the Washington State Wine Awards (formerly the Washington Restaurant Awards), Anthony’s has proudly been awarded the most in restaurant recognition including the Walter Clore Honorarium for both founder Budd Gould in 2012 and Lane Hoss in 2003.
