EFESTE Hosts Annual “Rockin Sips” Benefit for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

EFESTĒ will host its annual Rockin’ Sips benefit on March 1st, raising funds in support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The event was inspired by a deeply personal experience: in 2007, while EFESTĒ was just beginning, owners Kevin and Angela Taylor received devastating news: their son, Joe, had been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. As they navigated his treatment, the Taylors were moved by the overwhelming support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society community. After three and a half years of treatment, Joe has been in remission since 2011. The generosity and support the Taylors received during this time became a torch they were determined to pass on to the next family in need, leading to the establishment of the first Rockin’ Sips benefit in 2010. Since then, EFESTĒ has raised over $330,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through both the benefit and the sale of “Tough Guy” red wine, named in honor of Joe’s strength of spirit during his treatment. Attendees of the evening event get to taste wine and beers from local wineries and breweries, dance to music by a DJ, enjoy food and participate in a drawing featuring packages and experiences.
